Ramon is well aware of the power configuration for the expander. And it has nothing to do with the over-current error, which is USB related. The two lines are adjacent in dmesg but have nothing to do with one another. Yes, USB is the cause of the over-current errors, which is plainly evident in his screen shot. But we don't yet know if this USB problem is what's hanging the system.
