Hi,

I have set up an Ubuntu machine as I have set other Debian machines with
fetchmail and dovecot. I must have fumbled something in some configuration
file because my mail ends up in /var/mail/<username>.

Here is the output of dovecot -n

# 1.2.9: /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf
# OS: Linux 2.6.32-39-generic i686 Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS ext4
log_timestamp: %Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S
login_dir: /var/run/dovecot/login
login_executable: /usr/lib/dovecot/imap-login
mail_privileged_group: mail
mail_location: maildir:/home/%u/Maildir
mbox_write_locks: fcntl dotlock
auth default:
  passdb:
    driver: pam
  userdb:
    driver: passwd

Here is fetchmailrc (with passwords changed)

# Configuration created Sat May 26 22:14:17 2007 by fetchmailconf 1.52
$Revision: 4740 $
set postmaster "paul"
set bouncemail
set no spambounce
set properties ""
set daemon 60
poll mail.ultrasw.com with proto POP3
user 'waterho...@ultrasw.com' there with password 'secret' is 'paul' here

TIA for any ideas,

Paul Scott
