Sure, there still some applications that are not natively ported to 64 
bits, like Skype (recently cited in the list) or Mozilla products. 

That's not a non-stop and there are by-passes to get them installed, but 
it requires a bit of mess with libraries (installing the 32-compat) and 
for Mozilla products I dunno what is their status... that said, some 
people could prefer to stick with 32-bits installs and rest like a happy 
camper :-)
