-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi. Up to date Sid.
In the last few days, ssh connections have turned dog slow. I mean very slow, like 20-30 seconds of just sitting there after issuing "ssh server" before it asks for my password. This is very strange, as both client and server are on the same LAN with an average ping response time of 1.1ms. So I turned on a spare laptop I have with Etch on it, and again the ssh response time is awful. I tried connecting from a Windows machine to this Sid box, and the ssh server took so long to respond that WinSCP put up a pop-up saying there was no response, do I want to wait another 15 second? Yes, and it did finally connect, and the transfer speeds were fine. So, I tried connecting between the two other systems, and sure enough ssh was dead slow. Something else is happening.... Does ssh do a dns lookup or something that could be messing up? - -- November 5th: $4.3Million Dollars In One Day December 16th: $6 Million Dollars In One Day http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxldrCsVByA -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iQEVAwUBR5PLTC9Y35yItIgBAQL6IQf/WtrdCAWEfz/EiyoF89SAjc8lwcWDFym6 Vxx58coG/fmpGr6OPyyATc0/4EjyaeM2FUih2jUjV6jmCVGzPu+cz16wEx5hrMeE Mf58LpFFv8tKbJM0AMePhuvBAIi3W9xB8sWL8D5iA02Z6hIAX+lfkHxxn6oe08XT lsMDVTz6lzp3lxOyX9k2crsWTuPHY3+idjCDshxW06AQOKjibp3M0K1ri+w/duaw lDdLLtGRrK2XqWXEhCdky8LYBpU/lQ2LOiPnJVU+86E0D+6o1w3l94wS3/q1Unrf bbICiIioOBkW29qlsq1mvv75ljZf6V2peSzSBQfmk6Ubf1ejHi/7Kg== =ZGLa -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
