On Sunday 20 January 2008, Javier Barroso was heard to say: > Add the server at /etc/hosts and see if it is the problem. (Yes, > ssh plays with dns lookups ;) ) Darn straight, that worked _instantly_. Oh, just to clarify, the server was already in my laptop's /etc/hosts. What I did was add the laptop to the _server's_ /etc/hosts. Thank you. It's left as an extra-credit exercise for the future as to what happened in the last week to cause the DNS lookup to matter so much. :^) Curt- - -- November 5th: $4.3Million Dollars In One Day December 16th: $6 Million Dollars In One Day http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxldrCsVByA -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iQEVAwUBR5PaYy9Y35yItIgBAQLRtQf8Db4JmPwYKFjEAAT2X8IQ7yphInt4xG3C XWrSs5/bBtpqxaPmMcUamwQ8Xfq56gBk4lwSYcyU1++sCXrKExFvn7FcOfNHvQAD ovvjgTnT/TrMnBfGMPrGkWRwit+CkEUFJ2hiKXrcBPItkxt7p7tC0ysncPYGXh9/ JXzkRk+qdnToN0iH6/YfkMQM5o+cDnA+V0R8eIASB7FHDbA+WB+qgXdZXGrYwDe7 YqBM8kii7cZA5ITuhwBuW29ajAVP3TeqhaZyV6OzCqHmMcJ5aa2hZ93rk2n8T1En 9Mktgh3jYZL9+qvyLa5C7exBWemTHjeqkqyEyU2Y54LN0dw9djT7og== =T9I/ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
