I now have my connection back, after playing with the router's settings and turning it on and off a few times. I don't understand just what the problem was, so it may recur. It's interesting that there was a point where I had a connection if I booted from the XP partition or booted the Etch netinst CD in rescue mode, but had no connection if I booted Etch from the hard drive. I was wondering if it had to do with which IP (192.168.0.??) was assigned but got no conclusive evidence of that. Anyway, thanks to all of you for the many suggestions. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
