I see. Thanks. So it is that based on Debian, people create Ubuntu. Also based on Debian, there is Backports. These are all projects that improve desktop users' experience (from what I believe, at least). Is there anything that Debian itself does for this? There are examples of successful projects. For the workload/manpower issue, I guess what is needed is a flag. The project is there; people think it is interesting; and then they may try to contribute to it. For example, those above mentioned projects also get enough contributors to work with them. Maybe at first an experimental project is good. See what people think of it. (I know it is unrealistic; just a sudden/strange thought :) ) - -- Cheers, Wei Chen http://www.acplex.com/people/wchen/ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFGEk9fCIqXQV6BF28RAqDyAKDcoXRC44wp2EYp6ZZMrzuisHhp9QCgsKmw BpcM2cxezu8QfEdJudjJj2k= =rFIM -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
