Thanks for your interest. Funny thing is I changed addresses in the middle of the two weird messages and I would have thought that if I was spoofed then it wouldn't have shown on the new address. But, the weird address seemed to be related to mail coming from debian-doc, and debian-user, or more specifically two messages from murphy. Can you remember how to check if you are an open relay? I installed telnet, just to test this :-), but as root when I try "telnet localhost:25" I get: telnet: could not resolve localhost:25/telnet: Temporary failure in name resolution Is that the right command, I can't find the method in my docs ... must remember to sort this out. -- Chris. ====== Don't forget to check that your /etc/apt/sources.lst entries point to etch and not testing, otherwise you may end up with a broken system once etch goes stable.
