Well, I doubt the classic mode (that is, the current semiautomatic installer we have now), but the new debian-installer will also add in options for autodetection and a GUI during install. Other than being concerned about whether the list could withstand great gobs of obvious RTFM[1] questions, I see this as being a good thing.
