Hi ... i am newbie too... I have recently installed the GUI (I think)... but there seems to be some problem with starting the GUI
startx, startkde doesnt seem to work during installation of the GUI, these messages came out dpkg 'ldconfig' not found on PATH dpkg 'start-stop-daemon' not found on PATH dpkg 'install-info' not found on PATH dpkg 'update-rc.d' not found on PATH i didnt manage to do network configurations via dhcp or ppp during debian installation...yet i have 1 mail (it seems) in my mail folder which i dont know how to open...
