I take that back, I just spotted the effect on the "Create folder" button in the save file dialog in Firefox. Seems like some applications (or is it widgets?) are more heavily affected than others. Sometime I get it only on some isolated button, sometimes text everywhere breaks down. Some of the more heavily affected apps are xchm and sylpheed.
