I'm running Debian Sid. The subject line says it all. Is it necessary to have dirmngr running?
My machine is a desktop. It's not connected to any LAN. It is, obviously, connected to the Internet. The man page for dirmngr says it manages certificate revocation lists. Frankly, I am ignorant about this. Is this a daemon that needs to be running on my machine? Or, can I safely keep it from running? TIA, Rick -- Rick's Law: What cannot be imagined will be accomplished by a fool.
