This is a classic problem with the that card using the default eepro100 driver. It usually only occurs under a heavy network transfer load. Lightly loaded machines never see it. However, some of the time the networking may just suddenly stop working. It just stops. If you get onto the console and restart networking it will reset and resume functioning. We used the e100 Intel driver direct from the Intel site and our network dropout problem completely went away. I think I saw that Intel opened the code up and so the e100 driver will enter the mainstream in the future, likely replacing the eepro100 driver completely. Bob
