does woody have XF86Setup, or do you just assume that whoever's running woody
can handle xf86config? b/c after getting my x window system working (more or
less) i decided i needed to reconfigure things a bit (because it was only
more or less running).
i searched for XF86Setup on the packages list but it only returned a potato
package (the one i currently have)
speaking of the XF86Setup i currently have: since i installed xserver-common
and xserver-svga, it stopped working... i get errors such as
" Warning Server specification missing in Card: <name of some video card>"
or
"Warning Chipset specfication missing in <name of some chipset>"
sooo, what's up? do i need to dpkg other stuff besides xserver-svga, or will
XF86Setup (the easy-to-use and more importantly quick-to-use graphical
configuration frontend) simply not work on woody?
thanks... and thanks to those guys who helped me get X running in the first
place : )
