Well, the ipmasq package is overkill unless you have servers behind your firewall. Or maybe ICQ, NetMeeting etc. To Vineet: I load some basic rules, including a MASQ rule, the way you do, in /etc/init.d/my_ip_filters, then supplement them with interface-specific rules in /etc/ppp/ip- up.d/00more_ip_filters (and clean up in /etc/ppp/ip- down.d/ZZmore_ip_filters).
