really? i just compiled the unstable gimp 1.2 packages on my potato box and didn't have any problems. though i also compiled some of the gnome libraries from woody as well. i am still running libc6 2.1.3-18 i did have to make a few tweaks to the gimp package to make it build, mostly disabling the perl packages i think. since those depend on perl 5.6 which i don't even dare attempt.
