i missed the start of this thread but i've had a similar problem with the Matrox G200 Millenium 8MB Card. This was resolved in two ways.
- configuring the resolution in the X driver config file. It took some figuring out to understand it doesn't have to do with the XF86Config file - upgrading to a newer version of X solved the issue completely regards, joris -----Original Message----- From: D-Man [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: woensdag 18 april 2001 17:47 To: debian-user@lists.debian.org Subject: Re: 320X240 On Wed, Apr 18, 2001 at 01:48:24PM +0200, Willi Dyck wrote: | On Wed, Apr 18, 2001 at 02:05:59AM -0700, Alvin Oga wrote: | > | > use XFree_SVGA -probeonly to see what your resolution will be... | > tweek /etc/X11/XF86Config till its the usable resolution | | And when that's all done try hitting <STRG>+<ALT>+<+> to switch to the | next higher resolution and hitting <STRG>+<ALT>+<-> to switch to the | next lower resolution. Oh, that's cool. What key is <STRG> though? -D -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
