This is actually a known issue with 0.8 (should be in the release notes, I think...). To fix it, make a symlink in $MOZDIR/plugins which points to the actual library file (I for get where it is... something like java1.2/plugin/i386/ns600).
There's a bug for it which, I believe, is fixed in the nightlies. Hope that helps.
