I used to get the same message, not sure when/why it went away. depmod -a didn't fix the problem because the modules.conf was actually updated during boot, couldn't figure out why and when exactly, but it happened over and over until one day it didn't happen (don't remember when as I don't always whatch the boot messages). I have already posted about this and got few replies, mostly saying that I need run depmod -a or that they had the same problem but it went away after some time. anybody else have more insight? erik
