KDE2 installation

I downloaded all deb files for kde2 from kde2 mirror ftp server. However, when I tried to install packages, I got whole bunch of dependency errors. Can I just put the ftp path in /etc/apt/sources.list file and apt-get would take care of the rest?   Seung-woo Nam
