No, I don't have utah-glx installed. I installed my previous card, a Voodoo3 2000 and recompiled the kernel with tfdx module. The startx still hung but this time I did get a corrupted display. My system is an Athlon-800 with AMD's Irongate chipset. I noticed that XFree86 4 is loading modules from /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers Maybe I need to download the X 4.0 deb src's and recompile under 2.4.0-test11. scott
