Hi, I've got the latest XFree4 woody packages installed and it works great with the default 2.2.17 kernel. I decided to try out the 2.4.0-test11 kernel and built it with agpgart and matrox support. Using G400 32MB.
When I execute startx, the monitor mode is switched but the screen stays black and the system is hung. The only way to recover is the reset button or background a script to run shutdown after a few minutes. I compared /var/log/XFree86.0.log between a good 2.2.17 run and 2.4.0-test11 and the only differences were in memory regions. Does anyone have any ideas on further debug I can do? scott [EMAIL PROTECTED]
