Hi all, surely a newbie question here. I borrowed a USB cd writer -- a YAMAHA CRW3200E -- from a friend to do some backups, but I cannot figure out how to exactly make it run as cdrecord complains about not "seeing" it (I guess):
~# cdrecord -scanbus Cdrecord 2.0 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2002 Jörg Schilling cdrecord: No such file or directory. Cannot open '/dev/pg*'. Cannot open SCSI driver. cdrecord: For possible targets try 'cdrecord -scanbus'. Make sure you are root. cdrecord: For possible transport specifiers try 'cdrecord dev=help'. The usb storage seems to work: $ cat /proc/scsi/scsi Attached devices: Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00 Vendor: YAMAHA Model: CRW3200E Rev: 1.0d Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 02 Any suggestion?
