Hi, I'm trying to install Debian/Linux on a Toshiba laptop 486sx /4MG RAM.
I downloaded the latest (2.1.4) lowmem, rescue, driver and base 1 to 7 disks. I get stuck in the middle of the installation process after having inserted the whole base set (7 disks), the install program give me an "file error!" message saying that something went wrong during extraction of /target/base2_1.tgz file. On tty3, I get /usr/lib/perl5/i386-linux/5.004/IO/Select.pm: File exists star: File exists >From then on the install program ask me to re-insert the base set over and over each time ending unsuccefully. Any ideas you might have on the matter would be much much appreciated. Thanks again for the help.
