I tried out a few mixers a while back, and at least some of them put their scripts in /etc/init.d/ on installation, in order to restore the mixer settings on startup. If you can shop around, you should find one which removes the need for you to mess around in /etc/. Sorry I can remember which ones ! -- Regards, Paul
