CD-RW mounted like this only works as CD(IDE). You need to use SCSI emulation mode to get it as Read/Write. This is FAQ. http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/reference/ch-install.en.html#s3.7.3 > it munts ok. I can read cdr cd?s, or any other cd i want. But, when i > try do read a cdr-w cd, the ls command show me nothing, just if the cd > was empty. Well, unused CD-RW disk is blank (unformated). Besides, this is not like floppy where you write it randomly. You use "mkisofs" to create disk image and you use "cdrecord" to write it into CD-RW. I know there are some SF.NET projects which aim to use CD-RW as R/W file system, but thst is beyound normal usage. > some idea? I hope you read some other chapters of my Reference to get used to Debian basics. Debian requires fine grained attention to the details but it will not do anything behind you. I think this is your X configuration issue but I can not tell from this short report.
