2 doubts [newbie]

hey guys,   I have a cdr-w driver. I mount it on /cdrw directory. I put it on fstab with /dev/hda5 /cdrw   it munts ok. I can read cdr cd´s, or any other cd i want. But, when i try do read a cdr-w cd, the ls command show me nothing, just if the cd was empty.   some idea?   2) why flash files get like 256 colors on netscape 7? i need some plugin??
