[cut] How are you trying to connect? pon? Try it if you haven't. (Because most of us are familiar with it). If it doesn't work: What is in /etc/ppp/peers/provider? What is in /etc/chatscripts/provider? What is in /var/log/ppp.log when you do this? What is the output of ifconfig?
I guess you could also try rerunning pppconfig and getting it all straightened out that way...
