The mouse pointer "jumps" across the screen rather than a smooth movement, I notice the problem most when the pointer crosses window boundaries, the cursor changes and the mouse pointer pauses at this point. I am using the fvwm95 window manager, the problem is less evident when using the openlook manager which changes cursor less often.
I am using Debian 1.3 My Hardware is a Cyrix P200, and am using a serial mouse. My XF86Config is setup to use type "microsoft" at port ttyS0. I never had this problem on my P60 with a PS/2 mouse. Has anyone else experienced this problem ? Does anyone know the reason for the problem ? Does anyone have a fix ?
