Good catch - I forgot to mention that one. I did modify /etc/hosts originally, adding the new name in addition to the old name to the loopback (127.0.0.1) entry. I don't know whether or not the resolver is sensitive to ordering, though, so I just rearranged the order so the new name is first, followed by "localhost", followed by the old name. Maybe that'll make a difference.
