I'm switching between two hostnames frequently just by changing /etc/hostname (and calling /etc/init.d/hostname.sh afterwards) and I haven't encountered problems so far. Even SSH doesn't seem to mind, even though I'm using a keypair generated for one name for both. - -- Embedded Linux -- True multitasking!
