What I want, is to tell the system which way I use the camera this time. So when I plug it in the USB, for webcam use the stv* modules are loaded, and for still camera use they are not loaded. I could use this cheapo camera only as a webcam, and use my good camera for still shots, but there at least should be a way. And I know root can rmmod those modules, that is what I do now.
