Can anyone recommend a cheap SCSI controller? I'm putting together a little network server for my home LAN and want to attach a SCSI DDS2 DAT drive I have for backups. It's an older DDS2 drive so I think just about any PCI controller will be able to keep it's channel filled, and that's the only device that will be on the SCSI bus.
I see Adaptec has just about driven everyone else out of business, but I do see some Tekram cards pretty cheap. I see one place has 'em for $16!! Now that's what I'm looking for! Anyone have any experience with a Tekram DC-315 SCSI controller? It's BIOS-less, so no booting but I don't need that anyway.
