Since dhcp3-client is just the newer version of dhcp-client they should be very similar. The config files have moved location. But if you are doing config hacking then you probably should think about using the later version because eventually you will need to upgrade. Might as well work with the latest version at the start. But I can't imagine one being easier or harder to use than the other. What kind of config hacking are you needing? They are both hands off, install and go, packages, as are most of the dhcp clients. What are you needing to configure? Bob
