Don't know what sid is, but i went to: http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/i386/ch-appendix#s-file-descs and did something like: get rawrite: http://http.us.debian.org/debian/dists/woody/main/disks-i386/current/dosutils/rawrite2.exe download, rawrite onto floppies, and boot pc: .../current/images-1.44/bf2.4/rescue.bin .../current/images-1.44/bf2.4/root.bin .../current/images-1.44/bf2.4/driver-1.bin .../current/images-1.44/bf2.4/driver-2.bin .../current/images-1.44/bf2.4/driver-3.bin .../current/images-1.44/bf2.4/driver-4.bin download .../base-images-current/basedebs.tar , burn onto a CD, and read into the linux pc. The process should get dial-out working, so you can install packages from the net using dselect. Instructions are at http://www.debian.org/distrib/floppyinst I had a second PC with windows, so i could do downloading etc while i was getting the debian PC loaded. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
