When I try to connect to a private e-mail server over pop3s using a self-signed certificate, kmail sends a notification as follows: "Error Could not connect to <server>, could not negotiate SSL certificate." Where <server> is the name of the machine I was trying to connect to. Using unencrypted pop3, it works fine. Encrypted GMail using pop3 SSL encryption also works fine. The private server is using standard ports for POP3 SSL traffic. When I tested the private server using a kubuntu VM it worked fine.
