Package: kdeprint Version: 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-2+b1 Severity: normal I'm unable to print test pages from kcontrol. I issue the print command from the printer's context menu and I get two popups: The first (An information dialog) says "Test page successfully sent to printer Family."
The second is an error that pops up with: "A print error occurred. Error message received from system: cupsdoprint -P 'Family' -J 'KDE Print Test' -H '/var/run/cups/cups.sock:631' -U 'karen' -o ' multiple-document-handling=separate-documents-uncollated-copies orientation-requested=3' '/usr/share/apps/kdeprint/testprint.ps' : execution failed with message:" I've not cut that early, no error message is actually given. If I however copy that command to a terminal running as the same user, it succeeds and prints every time, suggesting something is amiss with KDE's method if issuing the command. FWIW, I get teh same problem printing from KPDF, but that uses a temporary file, not a static one like the test page, (and this temporary file never shows up), so I'm treating that as a seperate issue. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages kdeprint depends on: ii enscript 1.6.4-12 Converts ASCII text to Postscript, ii kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-4 core libraries and binaries for al ii libc6 2.7-10 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.3.1-2 GCC support library ii libqt3-mt 3:3.3.8b-5 Qt GUI Library (Threaded runtime v ii libstdc++6 4.3.1-2 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii poster 1:20050907-1 Create large posters out of PostSc ii psutils 1.17-25 A collection of PostScript documen Versions of packages kdeprint recommends: ii ghostscript [postscript- 8.62.dfsg.1-2.1 The GPL Ghostscript PostScript/PDF ii kghostview [postscript-v 4:3.5.9-1+b2 PostScript viewer for KDE -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
