Package: kmail
Version: 4:2.2.2-14
Severity: normal

When I use the attach-file dialog box to attach files to a message and I want
to attach files from the home directory of another user I have several
problems.

Firstly ~user doesn't work in the dialog field for specifying the directory.

Then when I enter /home/user/dir (the name of the directory containing the
files) it refuses to display it because /home/user is more 711.

This is wrong, "ls -l /home/user/dir" works fine, so entering that directory
as a directory for file attachments should also work.
