The cycle time of the flashes was extremely rapid, probably at least 10/second. I presume this was caused by the fact that I have an icon for mozilla on launch panel at the botoom of the screen, and my mouse was over this icon. The icon itself is red; it's a non-KDE application. Aside from being a cosmetic annoyance, it might conceivably cause some screen burn-in if it kept up long enough. -- System Information Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux wheat 2.4.19 #1 Mon Sep 2 14:25:19 PDT 2002 i686 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US Versions of packages kscreensaver depends on: ii kdelibs3 4:2.2.2-13.woody.2 KDE core libraries (runtime files) ii libc6 2.2.5-11.1 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libfam0 2.6.8-3 client library to control the FAM ii libjpeg62 6b-6 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libpng2 1.0.12-4 PNG library - runtime ii libqt2 3:2.3.1-22 Qt GUI Library (runtime version). ii libstdc++2.10-glibc2. 1:2.95.4-11 The GNU stdc++ library ii xlibmesa3 [libgl1] 4.1.0-17 XFree86 version of Mesa 3D graphic ii xlibs 4.1.0-17 X Window System client libraries ii zlib1g 1:1.1.4-3 compression library - runtime --------------------------------------- Received: (at 160382-done) by bugs.debian.org; 24 Mar 2004 22:13:26 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Mar 24 14:13:26 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from 66-194-152-191.gen.twtelecom.net (pico.surpasshosting.com) [66.194.152.191] by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1B6Gco-0006Kw-00; Wed, 24 Mar 2004 14:13:26 -0800 Received: from conr-adsl-cheney.txucom.net ([207.70.165.48] helo=calc) by pico.surpasshosting.com with esmtp (TLSv1:RC4-SHA:128) (Exim 4.24) id 1B6Gcs-0004TI-W6 for [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Wed, 24 Mar 2004 17:13:31 -0500 Received: from ccheney by calc with local (Exim 4.30) id 1B6GcW-0000KG-1z for [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Wed, 24 Mar 2004 16:13:08 -0600 Date: Wed, 24 Mar 2004 16:13:08 -0600 From: Chris Cheney <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: kscreensaver: flashing icon shows through screen saver Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha1; protocol="application/pgp-signature"; boundary="Cqq5NadOW2RfLMJ/" Content-Disposition: inline User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.5.1+cvs20040105i X-AntiAbuse: This header was added to track abuse, please include it with any abuse report X-AntiAbuse: Primary Hostname - pico.surpasshosting.com X-AntiAbuse: Original Domain - bugs.debian.org X-AntiAbuse: Originator/Caller UID/GID - [47 12] / [47 12] X-AntiAbuse: Sender Address Domain - cheney.cx Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_12 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-2.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00 autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_12 X-Spam-Level: --Cqq5NadOW2RfLMJ/ Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline This bug has been fixed in KDE 3.2 which is now in sid.
