OK. But you didn't answer the main question.

Does it happen with 3.5.x? It is in sid.
3.4.6 is unsupported.

This also might be that X (or LO communication with X) has a problem, but I 
don't 
are either way on a wheezy.
(And I belive the X maintainer would want you to try with a newer version, too, 
not sure.)
