I've no idea about the innards of OO.org, I'm a plain user. Maybe upstream knows what's going on? I'll keep my config as is for a while, so if a fix appears in the meantime I can try it, but when this get too annyoing I'll try the workaround (of course, I can make backup copies if desired to test later).
