[..] Another thing: in debian/control(.in), the package build-depends on some packages of libraries from Xorg (which is obviously not in Sarge), like libxinerama-dev and libxkbfile-dev. So, shouldn't the "libxinerama-dev, libxkbfile-dev" read instead "libxinerama-dev | xlibs-dev, libxkbfile-dev | xlibs-dev"?
