I continue to have the same problem with openoffice.org 1.1.1-2. The program is built onto a live CD (a Knoppix derivative) and it hangs when I attempt to save a file to
/mnt/auto/floppy The problem may occur if I click once on the "Save" button in the "Save As" dialogue---it is guaranteed to occur if I double click. Since in the absence of a network connection Knoppix requires you to save your work to floppy disk, I regard this as a major malfunction in OOo 1.1.1. This problem was not present in OOo 1.1.0-5 !! I would guess that somewhere along the way someone has introduced an optimization that is inconsistent with a good fault tolerance. I understand that one may be reluctant to download a whole live CD merely to check this point. Nevertheless, for those who are willing to take the trouble, ftp://ftp.skolelinux.no/skolelinux/knoppixes/snofrix/snofrix-2004-04-20.iso contains the bug, whereas ftp://ftp.skolelinux.no/skolelinux/knoppixes/snofrix/snofrix-2004-03-15.iso ftp://ftp.skolelinux.no/skolelinux/knoppixes/snofrix/snofrix-2004-04-25.iso do not. The latter two are based on OOo 1.1.0-5, the former on OOo 1.1.1-1. The default language for these CDs is Norwegian, but you can get English as an option by typing knoppix lang=us at the "boot:" prompt. Conrad
