projects (especially security-related) they frown when they hear about
use of gccgo.
Support for gccgo would be nice as GCC supports more ports architectures than golang. However, gccgo still lacks support for generics, which is why it is practically useless for now (and probably the reason why Go upstream frowns on it). Hopefully, this will change, though.
