Package: gcc-3.0-base Version: 1:3.0-0pre010403 Severity: wishlist The section quoting the standard part 4.4/4 uses the soft hyphen at several places. Why, I don't understand; it seems like a hyphen is called for, not the ambigiously non-graphic soft hyphen. However, not all character sets have a soft hyphen at <AD>, and most multibyte sets don't accept it as valid at all. Since it adds no real value over just using the hyphen, it would be nice to change all the soft hyphens to hyphens and get an ASCII document.
