Have you had a chance to look at this? I've tried to have a look at your packaging, but I know too little about Debian packaging to really grok this. I tried to comment out the "rm $SOME_DIR/subdirs.el" statement I found in debian/rules, but that didn't seem to help. It seems that most site-lisp directories are created by mkdir only, so the subdirs.el file does not end up there. I don't know what to do about that... tia, Kai
