What you are essentially writing above is "if people disagree with me on the importance of merge requests, it must be because they dislike Salsa". I find that borderline insulting. Looking at your DMD profile (https://udd.debian.org/dmd/?email1=otto%40debian.org&nosponsor1=on&format=html#todo), it looks like your involvement in teams that maintain a large number of packages is limited to the Go team. Maybe you should try to get involved in other teams (maybe reviewing open MRs would be a good entry point) as a way to understand how MRs could best fit into those teams' workflows? Lucas
