Probably not actually. Whilst there is an e-waste argument, the fact is that 
64-bit machines use much less power than old i386 boxes so you are probably 
doing more environmental harm than good at this point by keeping it/them going.

There is loads of old 64-bit hardware that can be had at freecycle prices to 
replace the power-hungry i386 kit you are still running.

Obviously this is a pain, but the time has come to make a plan for this 
transition.

I retired my last i386 machines this year on that basis. (But I have still got 
one arm box still doing useful work (yes, that's 'arm'. not even 'armel': it 
stopped getting updates a very long time ago)).
