Exactly - I'm one of these people.  I'm happy with what Sam said and
the discussion that followed, so felt no need to say anything directly
in the discussion yet.  I don't agree with Bernard.

Sam's process to find consensus where it exists, and points of issue
where it doesn't, seems sensible to me. I am interested in the
results, particularly from the POV of someone who has primarily
'patches, quilt and tarballs' workflows, but can use git if
necessary.
