Well put, but I reckon a lot of us would be happier if you (and Abou) used the term 'users', rather than 'customers'. I know I think that being a customer involves payment. Anyway, to the point. Yes, please kill 'general' or at least its reflection to debian-devel. It has seemed to me to be a tiresome anacronism for a very long time. I have always assumed that it was some very old BTS feature from when this was a much younger and smaller project, that no-one could be bothered to tidy up. I just ignore those mails now, after many years of noting that they are largely useless bug reports barely worthy of the name, that usually get promtly closed.
